Venezuelan Information Office logo

In 2002, acting as a political appointee at the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington, DC, I helped create the Venezuelan Information Office (VIO), a political initiative to educate the American public and their representatives in Congress about the political process happening in Venezuela.

This office was of strategic interest considering US involvement in the brief coup that toppled president Chavez for 48 hours in 2002. Its newsletter, Venezuela Analysis, was part of that effort.
